What is I AM?
I AM – International Assistive Technology Meeting is an international forum for experts, clinicians, and innovators who place identity, autonomy, and quality of life at the heart of technological solutions.
The event explores the role of assistive technologies in supporting communication, social participation, and the ability of every individual to independently manage their interests, relationships, and daily activities. The solutions presented go beyond mere disability compensation, fostering pathways for self-expression and inclusion.
Alongside augmentative communication, I AM addressed themes of advanced mobility, accessible gaming, and leisure technologies, demonstrating how innovation can support independence and expand opportunities for participation.
A portion of the meeting was dedicated to Health Economic Studies, featuring international research on the impact of assistive technologies within healthcare systems to analyze the clinical, social, and economic benefits linked to the promotion of autonomy.
I AM is a platform for dialogue between research, clinical practice, and industry, where international best practices are transformed into concrete tools to develop truly person-centered solutions.
